When it comes to price, a word of warning: There are many unscrupulous "designers" out there. They will show you a portfolio that is not theirs and give you a lowball quote. Then they will ask for a down payment to begin work and you'll never hear from them again. Every designer asks for a down payment, usually 50%. This prevents a client from using me to build a site then just copying the files I send them without paying at least half.

So if you need a good, clean site do your homework. Contact some of the previous clients of the designer and make sure you get a good reference!
